LAWRENCE FISHBURNE: What? It's bad enough that the agents no longer pose any threat at all, but now these are the kind of obstacles we must overcome to save Zion? Make out with Monica Belluci? What will we have to do next, eat our way through a prison wall made of chocolate? In other movie news, I saw Finding Nemo over the weekend and enjoyed it. What does it say about Ellen DeGeneres that she does a far better acting job playing a fish named Dora than she did playing a lesbian named Ellen? Because my earlier comments suffered no scorn, I feel emboldened to make even more controversial statements such as the one above. Except it's really not that controversial. Ellen just wasn't a funny show. One of the best supporting casts in recent television history, but not a funny show. Put me in a sitcom with Jeremy Piven, Joely Fisher, David Anthony Higgins (I'm probably the only one here who remembers the Higgins Boys and Gruber, but then I like obscure comics), and Clea Lewis, and I'll be funny. |

Anyway, it does not change things. To me, you are the kind of guy who has long windy posts and then ironically, they end with the one word "boogers". I think it suits your personality to a Tee. |

I have recently decided that I long to be debtfree. Imagine, you could just quit your job and travel the world by stringing togeterh a couple of paychecks. In this vein, I am no longer paying retail for anything exce[t Epicuren products which are not terribly expensive. If it aint on sale or on ebay, I wont buy it. I am gonna limit by NYC visits and will live mostly on burritos and homecooked food. After tje season finale of Queer AS Folk, no more showtime, which has become almost unwatchable anyway. No more cigs and no more alcohol during the week. No more fucking four and a half buck vente soy vanilla iced sugar free lattes and no more seven buck salads. Piece of cake. Can someone recommed excellent brown bag lunches that are healthy and dont involve mammals? |
Deja Rerun: The office
I remembered to tune in at ten last night and again saw one of the two episodes I keep seeing. This one with the killer line David: "Dutch girls should be punished for having big boobs". (And then I ahve to paraphrase) "noone, even dutch girls should be pucnish for having big boobs"
Gareth: They should be rewarded for having big boobs David: Treated equally. The great thing is the show gets better upon each viewing, but I suspect its bc I have an easier time understanding their accents. Are there really only six episodes in rotation and if so, why is the show being shown like fifteen times this week? I look forward to the So Graham Norton week next week. I saw that for the first time on Friday. It had Kim Catrall promoting the Satisfaction book and the host went in the office and had men show the little camera how they perform oral. Fucking hilarious. We need an Da Ali G week. Saw it this weekend (never remmeber its on) and the interview with C Everet Koop was priceless. I may have to get tivo for these shows. \ I heart BBC. Thanks to Atticus for turning me onto the Office. |

I don't eat meat and don't eat out so I bring a lunch every day. Each morning I make myself a big fresh salad (romaine, leaf lettuce, cucumber, celery) and bring either a can of soup (Progresso vegetable) or a Healthy Choice side-dish (either manicotti or cheese ravioli). I figure it costs me about $3 to $5 per day to bring my own lunch. It takes about 10 minutes in the morning to tear up the lettuce, etc. but I guess you have to be dedicated to it in order to do it every morning -- I brown bagged all through college and law school so I guess I am just used to it and never considered eating out regularly as an option. YMMV but there are plenty of low-cal/low-fat/not-so-bad-for-you alternatives to eating out every day that you can do on the cheap if you are willing to slum it at the company microwave. Shall I launch into the benefits of food coupons and store-brands now????? :waggle: |

Celetano makes a great organic eggplant parmagiana (also at WholeFoods). For sandwiches, I use the lightlife smart deli. I am partial to the "roast turkey flavor." The texture is excellent, and I like the flavor. The OM, a 14 yr vegetarian, prefers the tofurky version. There are excellent burritos and tortilla wraps. The brand name is escaping me since I don't buy them anymore (carb factor), but they carry teryiaki veggie wraps, and roasted veggie wraps in brightly colored wrappers. They usually set you back two bucks. I also have taken the gardenburger riblet with me to the office, along with some veggies. A quick, delicious meal. The only problem is that it smells so good everyone wants to know what it is, and no one believes that it is veggie. Edited to add: burritos are cascadian, but seem more flavorful than their boxed things. The frozen foods are made with people like you in mind, Paigow, so they are often organic and preservative free, etc. |
Man-hos, watch out!
