So, I was watching 40 Year Old Virgin last night for the 1st time (yes, that's what I did on a Sat night - I'm boring), and notice in an early scene that they work across the street from Versailles. Weird!

In the early 90s, before the Simpson/Goldman murders, I remember there used to be an older gentleman who frequented the Starbucks on San Vicente in Brentwood. Wore an eyepatch and had a talking parrot who sat on his shoulder....

was that you?

Where's Str8 when you need him?

Just read an article where some british rockers are saying not nice things about NFH's favorite boy-bander, Jusatin Timberlake.

http://www.contactmusic.com/news.nsf...erlake_1007106

In the article, they say "It's just money music. Absolute rubbish. You can smell the money coming off it. He's a k**bhead".

Anybody know what a k**bhead is?

eta: Jesus, could it really mean knobhead? That is beyond stupid.

Dickhead. Some things that are innocuous here are dirty there.

Here is a picture of plf in a different, easter-y outfit (or in the witness protection program):

Right-click, select properties, copy the text that follows into your browser thingy, and you will see it.

Or, just live without seeing the costumed cat.

I had already tried that. That led to "cannot find server". Since my browser was working at the time, I just thought I would let you know that your link might not be working.

I had the opposite problem. I see the picture but wish I cannot. It's like Bukowski said, in life stuff that 1 guy might enjoy too often happens to the guy who doesn't.

Huh. I was about to call bullshit, since it all obviously takes place on Ventura Blvd., but sure enough, there's a Versailles in Encino on the blvd. I thought 40 Year Old Virgin might have been shot straight in Van Nuys, but close enuf.

By the way, I had people over today for my imminent birthday. And I'm pleased to report that Mrs. Str8's chocolate bread pudding made with croissants instead of brioche, and Ghiradelli dark and milk chocolate, and about 18 eggs, is pretty fuckin amazing.

Am I the only one who thinks that bread pudding should not be chocolatey?

If I had known about the chocolate bread pudding I would have crashed the party.
