I bet you get compliments on your lunch and dinner choices. At least lately.

In the who-looks-better-in-this game, Jessica Alba wins over Tori, who looks deformed.

1. Jessica always looks better than, well, almost anyone.

2. Jessica's dress is actually the right size for her.

3. I have that bag that Jessica is carrying.

I've gotten all sorts of compliments on my hair this summer. I've also lost a lot of weight this summer, and I've determined that "your new haircut looks great" is code for "You look much better than the last time I saw you, but I don't want to imply that you looked bad before you lost the weight, so I'll comment on something else."

You have pretty eyes.

So, I wouldn't want to be seen in a dress that Paris Hilton wore. The belt makes it cuter. Especially if I had paired it with the wrong shoes. It frumps on this woman, Thora Birch.

It's not very flattering on Paris, either. In fact, that's just an ugly dress.

If that's frumping, I'm OK with it.

That's Thora Birch? Wow. The last time I saw her, she was a dead ringer for one of my sisters in Ghost World. There is no way in hell that particular sister would be caught in that dress. Or with that hair color.

And apropos of nothing, I give Little Miss Sunshine a solid B. Alan Arkin is hilarious (which should surprise no one).
I also saw this and the performance at the end was beyond brilliant.

Alan Arkin is great. I loved him in Grosse Point Blank. And I don't understand how he wasn't cast in Billie Crystal's role in Analyze This (maybe he was producer?). It would have been a much better movie.

Alan Arkin's son sucks ass. The only thing he was ever good in was Northern Exposure.

Also, just saw Mission Impossible III on the plane. Tom Cruise may be nuts, but he can make an action movie. It was not bad (although, I was expecting crap, so you might chalk this up to lowered expectations). I know he's fast becoming a joke in Hollywood, but don't all the studios make most of their money overseas anyway? Why the hell would you drop him?

I watched a few Project Runways recently and am hooked. I want those jet-setter pants Michael (I think) designed.

Weeds is an excellent show.

Has anything of interest happened here that I've missed?

The Game

Sometimes it's the posture that makes the dress.

Sometimes it's the expression.
