I get (sigh) a red x for that one too. Oh well. No pretty for me.

Re TO, something is obviously sucking in his life, or in his head he thinks something's sucking, or whatever other variations on that apply. It really sucks that it looks like the route they are going will involve him having to deny the whole thing vocally and publicly for a long time, which probably will just make any issues more difficult to resolve.

I'm not saying I'm sympathetic to him. I mean, I don't think opponents should start easing up or whatever, or that he should be held to a lower standard of behavior if he's going to be out in public and stuff. But it's really sad whenever someone feels that bad. Unless they're like a genocidal maniac.

Wannabes Are So Sad

  • I can trace my family tree back past the Mayflower to the reign of the hybrid reptoid female known to human annals as "Queen Elizabeth." It's a fairly impressive genetic legacy, yet I will always be looked down upon as "inferior" by those who slither across the real corridors of power.

Why? Because my bloodline—unlike that of the Bushes, Clintons, Rockefellers, and others whose names, were they revealed, would astound you—has never entered a shape-shifting, bloodsucking union with those shadowy reptile overlords. But I have plans for me and mine beyond mammalian servitude. The Blakely name deserves better!

Hold your horses everyone.

1. People crying out for help and needing attention don't take too many pills; and

2. TO isn't the kind of man who craves attention, or needs help.

Everyone is clearly jumping to unreasonable conclusions here. That said, I still think we should have free suicide centers on street corners.

2. There's nothing more despicable than overpriced suicide.

Yes. those look like half-grapefruits stuck to her chest. Other fake boobs (that go under the muscle) look much better. My trainer has the nicest set of fake boobs I've ever seen.

I don't think he's crying out for help, or that he needs attention. I think this was a real attempt.

I'll avoid making a joke about free suicide centers, because knowing you I'm pretty sure that you mean exactly that.

I thought only Sicilians said the two syllable version. Not so?

It's like he thrived on it and loved the attention, good and bad. And now it seems he didn't?

What's sadder still is that people (um...like me) assume it has to do with the fact that he is unloved by the public when he might really have some family, relationship or otherwise deeply personal shit that he is struggling with.

Who knows what's really wrong with the guy? And what's saddest still is that he won't be able to just deal with this in a way that normal people do. He will have to face it and questions about it, day in and day out, for the foreseeable future.

At least he's still the preeminent Proust scholar in the United States.

Nah. Because I get empty spaces too. And I don't have a netnanny.

I would like to thank the person

who first thought that mozarella and tomatoes should be eaten together with a little bit of olive oil and salt and pepper and basil if you can find some. Many, many a happy lunch has resulted from that simple combination of foods.
