It also owns or runs BET, MTV2, Nick at Nite, Nickelodeon, the N, Noggin, TV Land, Showtime, Sundance Channel, The Movie Channel, UPN, Spike, Country Music Television, and VH1. It is the largest network in the world and, allegedly, the most recognized brand in the world. They are not becoming anything; they are merely doing what they do best - market control.
Don't forget--they also own CBS.

And Sting! I was wondering how long it would take before someone posted about his Grammy attire. He seemed to be wearing a plain black kilt, knee socks, and modified Prince Charlie. I kinda liked it.

What would you like to talk about, dearheart?
Your tits. But I need some specific, personal frame of reference...

True. I haven't actually seen a video before midnight on MTV in years. But what bothered me is the reasoning behind putting the Brittney video on later - because it was "dangerous" or whatever. It just sounded puritanical, and coming from MTV a little hypocritical.

Viacom/MTV is being crass and pandering to the market/FCC?!?! Shocking!!! Viacom/MTV is hypocritical in their marketing? Madison Avenue must be shocked!!!

I am picturing you being nearly as pasty as Jack and Meg White from spending 28 years studying paleolithic geology from the fun end of a stalagmite.

It's been dead so no, no one beat you to the punch. Unless one suspects one is unusually tiny, I don't see the big deal, but whatever. Men are weird.

Tell us about that time in Paris. When you were a kept woman. And you had the affair with the poolboy. And his sister.

Or just make something up.

Are you a fucking shareholder or board member or something? Why the personal attack?

And I'll have you know that my pastiness has nothing to do with paleolithic geology - Ross.

I don't think it's reasonable to interpret "fun end of a stalagmite" as involving a personal attack. Now, if he had said stalactite, that would be different.

No no. You've got it backwards.

It depends on your sense of fun.

And on whether I was being coincidental in my post.

Personally, I think it's because men as a group are much more homophobic. There are men out there who truly believe that if they have any sexual thought about a man at all, it will make them gay for all eternity. You know, like it's contagious or something. As for me, it just doesn't do anything for me. Period. So, like ncs, why would I ever want to try it?
