I just got some feedback re my behavior at a firm-related wedding. I am sooooo getting fired. Or promoted. The jury is still out. I just really envy people who consistently are normal and fly beneath the radar. No one ever says, "ABBA? Was she even there?" or "it was really nice to chat with ABBA last night. She has some interesting views on politics and I bet she would make a fantastic wife and mother." It's always, "Holy shit -- ABBA was wayyy outrageous last night." Sigh. I blame John Stamos.

I certainly hope I am not in any pictures. Let's just say I am incapable of not dancing like a stripper, even when the dance floor contains hot young things comingled with the bride's eldery relatives from Poland. I am also incapable of saying appropriate things and tend to flirt with, like, everyone when drunk. Including a partner -- who was eating it up -- in front of his wife and a former professor.

The one plus is that I did not make out with anyone (that I remember) and did not wake up with some random in my bed* (Mr. Kiss is out of town so I took a "friend" to the wedding.)

Who gave you the feedback and was it just a recital of what you did or commentary on the appropriateness of it???

As it was not an actual firm event, anything short of getting a DUI on the way home should be none of the firm's business. But then again this is Minnesota where people who don't even have the excuse of being wingnuts are often seriously tight-assed about "appropriate" behavior.

I am the latest FBer to have a dream about Thurgreed. Good grief.

For reasons that made sense in the dream, we had to pretend to be hot and heavy around some people he knew to explain why I had to go scuba diving with him. The diving was a cover for some espionage deal he was doing but it was at night and involved swimming around great white sharks without a cage. The whole dream was about how afraid I was of diving at night (I get claustrophobic if I don't have good visibility) and of the sharks but I was going to do it.

I don't need Gwinky to interpret this dream. I am anxious and fearful about a career development and that's holding me up in getting it started. I think Thurgreed was only in it because it had popped into my head that day to pray for him.

PS-in a hard-fought election in my tiny town (where the mayoral race was a tie at 60-60 votes and I forgot to vote and actually could have been the deciding vote) a former manager of the Ramones was elected to the Town Council. As small as my town is, it's not that hard to win an election though.

So, I'm not a big Sopranos fan, but the Bunnyman is. It's become our Sunday night ritual though to go get dinner and then watch the Sopranos while I drink wine praying to fall asleep before someone gets their head blown off. Last night was the worst eposiode of TV (of any program) I have ever seen. What was up with that whole dream thing? In my opinion that is the worst thing that any program can ever do. part of what I disliked about Alli McBeal. So, my question is, did anyone like the dream stuff, or whas that universally horrible episode. I'm terribly afraid that the critics will love it and it all sent over my head.

My local newspaper had this on the front page yesterday. Just a photograph of a decimated vehicle with only a caption and no story. For some reason, I can't quite put my finger on, I found this terribly offensive. A shocking reminder of how fragile life actually is. I am sorry for your loss.

A few seasons ago, Tony had a long strange dream when he realized he had to kill one of his friends. He is sort of looking at a similar decision now. But I thought it was a wasted episode, and this season has been marginally acceptable, at best. This wasn't worth the years it took them to do it.
