On the way home from the baseball game yesterday, I noticed that the two men across from us on the subway were discussing Project Runway. I nudged my bf and whispered, "straight or gay?" and he said "straight." Finding it hard to believe that two straight men would be so into Project Runway, I nevertheless joined the conversation and from Woodside to Bryant Park on the 7 train we had a pretty animated discussion. We all agreed that Michael is going to win, that Jeffrey is good but his vision is too dark for the show, that the red haired chick is good but too stuck in Audrey Hepburn cocktail dress mode, and that Vincent is a total weirdo. We disagreed about whether Heidi is mean, wooden or adorable. Anyway -- it was a lot of fun! Both of them work in the fashion industry and one's wife is a designer -- that is why I think they are so into the show.

And my main point is that we definitely agreed that Alison got kicked off for being too cute. They made her seem as if she hates women or something.

Her outfit was pretty bad though. And they didn't want to kick of Kayne because of his previous work, even though that thing was awful.

You have to wonder why they didn't take the opportunity to get rid of Vincent though. That thing was crap, and his defense of it was annoying.

They have to keep Laura around for the drama.

Agreed. I think they kept Vincent around because he is such a weirdo and that adds to it. Just being cute and relatively normal doesn't add to it, and that's another reason Alison got the boot.
