Just saw the new one. Larry as Wasp could lead to complications promising many good episodes, till the inevitable kick out. Odds on getting in, I thought low until recognizing the plot possibilities.
Cheryl as Republican CC applicant was a bit of a stretch, or can you just be yourself once in?

I missed it on sudnay. can someone tell me if they are reairing it? i would look it up but am afraid I will stumble across a summary or description of it with spoilers. also, what happened with janent jackson and justin timberlake?

also, can someone summarize who was booted off of AI lat night? was sonny gone? I didnt see him and he was my upick to win. Was the girl who sang about the gay ex gone and if so, why?

I saw Sonny on the previews for tonight singing in a group with Jonah.

I have no idea why the Mississippi girl who sang about the gay ex is gone. She was great.

I also have no idea why the "models" are still there. Seriously, they cannot sing. Perhaps they are there for the tv audience.

It also looks like one of my favorites, Jeffrey Dingle, got dinged last night, too.

wow, you'd think the guy would get one year of slack after getting your team to a freaking Super Bowl victory. Gruden is obviously a good coach, and I wouldn't write TB off as long as he's at the helm (they need some good receivers though).

and since you mention the Bucs, I'd like to add Warren Sapp to my list. trash-talking, dirty-hitting POS.

if we're listing good guys in sports, Tony Dungy and Herm Edwards top my list.

You know, a couple of years ago I would have agreed with this, but now I'm not so sure. I kind of think he was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and happened to be the most recognizable person in the immediate area.

Plus, he seems to be very loyal to Baltimore and the fans, which I think is admirable. Lots of public appearances, volunteer stuff, etc. If it weren't for that one night in Atlanta, he'd easily qualify to be one of the nicest guys to dominate in middle linebacker position (which is kind of like being the best chef in England, or the best cop in France, but still).

I say this as someone who really couldn't care less about the Ravens, but who wouldn't mind have the neighborhood kids having a role model who isn't a thug. I think he's trying to not be a thug.


As for my picks, I'm going with Bobby Knight and Isiah Thomas.

They are at the top of mine, too.

As for Gruden, I never thought he was that great a coach. He won with Dungy's team scoring a few more points. I look at his player decisions (Rob Freakin Johnson?) and his coaching decisions. I also hold him responsible for the embarrassingly bad season we had this year.

He convinced a limo full of people to lie and cover up two people getting murdered and then he turned on his friends. For me, that's no role model or wrong place, wrong time.

He has absolutely the best PR people in the world. All you ever see is him working with young players like Ed Reed and being a leader.

If he deployed 2% of his football talent in an effort not to be a thug, he could do it. But he doesn't. He comes out with the shimmy and shake dance and the woofing and the hollering. It's his schtick--not sure it makes him a thug, but it certainly doesn't disabuse anyone of the image of the lying accessory. But at least he's no Rae.

That said, I am constantly amazed whenever I watch a Ravens game that the guy is everywhere on the field. I swear there are four guys on the Ravens wearing his number, because it seems like on each play he's pressuring the QB and making the tackle on the swing pass. Simply amazing . . . if the guy were not on defense, and had these skills as an RB or QB, he would probably be called the Michael Jordan (or, perhaps now, the Kobe Bryant or Alan Iverson) of football.

Say what you will about Gruden. He strikes me as merely smug (as compared, say, to Parcells, who is as first-rate an asshole as they come, and apparently follows the Roger Clemens school of loyalty and truthful dealing), but Chucky gets major dick points off for sticking it to Al Davis by walking away.
