Count me in, because I feel like the must be some tear in the space time continuum. We start with earnest, sympathetic advice to some dude with relationship problems, which transforms into a wave of unsympathetic scornful advice, and then irreverent non-advice, and then offensive retorts, then collective outrage over the offensive retorts, with the exception of those who are outraged by the PC hypocrisy of the earlier collective outrage, combined with half-assed apologies by the offensive retorter. And I'm thinking to myself, there is no fucking way this is all actually happening AGAIN. Somehow, God is punishing me by making me live my most banal and boring past over and over again. Will somebody at least give me a frame of reference? Are we drinking Mojitos yet, or are we still stuck on those fucking awful Appletinis? Have we made it to Infirmation yet, or are we still sucking in Yahoo?

I probably wouldn't have commented on the stuff at all, until the jumping-on seemed sort of unfair. I probably go too far in trying to see someone else's viewpoint, whereas you probably don't go far enough. Somewhere in the middle is the smart person who just stays completely out of this whole conversation. That person must be found and killed lest all internet conversation ceases.

So, I was thinking about posting about my weekend of ridiculous debauchery, which included falling head over heels for a woman of a particular profession (no, not THAT profession), which is kind of strange because it's not like I've never indulged in that sort of recreational activity before, but never have I ended up so obsessed, but perhaps this time the difference was the particular, um, shall we say, body chemistry I had going on, but nonetheless I'm still feeling pretty obsessed, and I turned down a semi-clear invitation to request/offer a phone number, because after all there's the whole wife-and-kid thing to consider, but the wife-and-kid thing has had its issues and maybe I should take a chance at a little adventure, but probably it's a horribly bad idea, but just what does someone do when the obsession and intrigue won't fade, and it's really all making me pretty useless at this "job" thing......

But I've thought better of the whole thing. Because all it's gonna do is lead to a bunch of meta-meta-meta posts on the right and wrong ways to respond to a little moronic Christian-baiting. Or some such crap. At this point, if Dealtoy is still lstening, all's I can say is "sorry, dude. But having another kid would clearly be a mistake."

After TM's helpful pointers, I'm sure AJ would enjoy it, so likely under the Big O rule, he would have to add me to his number. My SO would flat out kill me (his name is not AJ, for those of you who were wondering), so at that point my number would be irrelevant. Unless someone wanted to put it on my tombstone.


Edited to clarify that TM's helpful pointers all took a written format. I have never received one-on-one training from that man!
