You are right, but sadly he's almost grown out of onesies. I am only buying 3T now as he's in 2T-3T right now. He's between 27 and 28lbs and proportionally tall. Thanks.

To BRC - Per my other post, I would stick with something she can continue to use after baby is here. (Preferably something scotchguarded or otherwise spitup-proofed.)

Alright, I'm one of the view Yes votes it appears. But, you know, the few things my wife to wear during pregnancy that she liked were very big deals. They were among her most loved clothes ever.

A good alternative -- a weekend away with her sister at a Spa before the baby arrives. It will be a long time before it happens again, and I understand that some spas have special stuff for pregos (and that there is other stuff pregos are supposed to avoid).

I was so freakin' huge with the Lexling that I would have hated anything that someone else bought if it didn't fit perfectly. And I hated anything that touched my stomach, (which was admittedly anything within about a 3' radius). I am tall and hard to fit for that reason anyway.

Assuming the BRSister is short, it may not be a big deal to buy her things. The weekend (or day) away is good, if she can offload the other child(ren) - so long as she stays out of hot tubs, of course. Or, offer to take in the BRNieces/BRNephews and send sis away for the day or send her and BIL out on a nice dinner/show date by themselves - a true luxury.

If she lives anywhere near me, where the womenfolk know that their place is to dress the deer, you had better not buy her anything that is composed of (arguably) fur.

Ask them to buy things that you want - that make your life with Lump easier, more fun, less stressful, whatever. No one buys gifts that make a one-year-old happy - they buy what makes mom and dad happy. Give them the gift of acknowledging this fact, and make a list of things that you want for the kid that will make your life better.

(Hint: A four-ton pallet of Desitin.)

Good Friend: nice clothes, books, toys or something useful

Bad Friend: mini drum set, xylophone, annoying toy with sounds that repeat ad nauseum.

But you will have to clean up after your own and with all the monkey-poo flinging I envision being part of your family festivities, it won't be an easy task. Here's a hint - 409 OxyPower is my new favorite cleaning product. Counters, sinks, blueberry (and yes, poo!) stains from clothing - it cleans everything!
