Yes.

Variations on "paper" and "concert tickets", I think. Concert tickets has changed, though. I always learned it for LSD but now hear it about as slang for ecstasy, which makes no sense to me.

etf stupid grammar mistake. Too much "document review."

The cabbies and bus drivers pronounced the "th" like lithp.

Okay, I'm pretty hip. At least I used to be. Now I'm old and I prefer martinis and prescription party favors. What is 420?

I believe 420 is a marijuana reference. Named for the number of a CA bill providing for medical marijuana.

ok - I just googled. 420 is the number of the bill, but the 420 reference is from the 70s - I don't know what its origins are.

I once Googled this as well. There is a lot of folklore about this, but I seem to recall that, according to one site, the term comes from nothing more mysterious than the time that a certain group of California teeneagers would meet after school to get high.

I think there was outrage the bill was numbered 420, because of the reference..

http://www.concept420.com/what-is-420.htm

What does 420 mean? There are varying theories on the origin of 420. Some say that 420 originated from a police code that announces marijuana use is taking place. Yet another story is that a group of guys (Waldo's) in the 1970's made 4:20 their official meeting time to smoke marijuana after school. Whether or not 4:20 p.m. is the best time of day for your first hit depends on your own body, your own needs. Some folks feel that waiting until 4:20 enhances ones appreciation of the herb. Of course, your mileage may vary.

In the 21st Century, 420 is firmly established as a code amongst tokers, a time of day and even sort of a toker's New Year's Day. It's in our culture now and only time will tell where it ends up.

April 20th (4/20) is another usage, meaning that it is time for to plant before the summer.

Time of day? How bizarre. The crew I ran with usually did bongs for breakfast. Followed by donuts and chocolate milk.

Ah, sweet fleeting youth.

Amazon Code

No, this is not some secret cult among one-boobed women (well, maybe it is, but if so, I'm not in on the secret).

I am going to purchase something off Amazon (B&N doesn't have it -- sniff -- that's where I get a discount. -- those bastards...), and I think there's some code you can put in so that some proceeds to to lawtalkers.

Then again, I may be hallucinating. What with the 420 and all that cool-kid stuff.

Like the Bush twins in college- they must have Secrect Service with them walking to class, on a dinner date- and if they want Brad the Tri-Delt to stay overnight- does word get back to W and Laura?

I don't know how long the celebrity continues, we still hear about Chelsea, but the protection must continue for awhile.
My sister went to college with Chelsea, and she lived across the hall from Chelsea's boyfriend one year. They weren't close, but my sister ran into Chelsea fairly regularly. Aside from the regular calls from tabloids like People asking for scoop on Chelsea's life, going to school with the President's daughter really wasn't that big of a deal. Stanford was pretty good about keeping reporters off campus, the students never ratted Chelsea out to reporters (and apparently they had a blast sending the paparazzi on wild goose chases), and the Secret Service was pretty unobtrusive.
