"On days when I have no meetings or other client events and I'm wearing one of my dressier pairs, I often just wear them all day."

What does a "dressy" pair of flip flops look like? I am assuming that she is not commuting in a pair with heels. . .

[flip-flops have replaced sneakers as inappropriate foot attire for commuting women]
1) Business-wear-wise, you might as well be showing cleavage.

2) It's also the fat-hairy-guy-at-the-beach-in-a-thong problem--some people's feet, no matter how neatly pedicured, simply aren't fit to be seen in public.

So true. So sadly true. And maybe I'm just not hip to flip flop lingo, but what the hell is a kitten heel?

Another high-end model Saks offers is Sigerson Morrison rubber thongs which come with a 1.5-inch "kitten heel" for $85, available in five different colors.

Lamentably, mine belong to this very select group....

A kitten heel is a tiny little heel -- think Audrey Hepburn heels on pointy shoes -- the heel is no more than 1/2 an inch. I'll try to find a picture.

I have a heeled, reptile thong sandal that one of my less fashion savvy clients has referred to as "flip flops."

Perhaps that's what she meant by dressier pairs. Dressier sounds so much classier than thong.

Ack. Never mind. Kitten heels on flip flops. Sheesh. I think we saw that picture last week. What next...midriff tops with peek-a-boo nipple holes?

Here's a good side-view of a kitten heel. I found a picture of the flip-flops, and they are HIDEOUS! (IMEO)

I saw a little pair of Burberry flip-flops recently. I didn't even bother to look at the price tag (as I was too bedazzled by the charming summer hats at the store I was in), but I assume it was likewise something along the lines of "obscene."

I plan on wearing mine to work later this week. Hell, it's "casual Friday" after all...

a little part of me is kind of sad that we killed Saddam's children. I keep having to tell myself they were hideous men with bad skin and gigantic mustaches.

Words to live by.

Stumped about what to wear to your office on casual Friday? Try these 12 tips.

''I would never show my midriff because I love my fellow man. My rule of thumb has always been if I bend over and the mystery is gone, it's too sexy for work.'' --Anita

''A dressed-down woman often looks slightly more casual than a dressed-down man. I can't have anything sticking in anyone's mind about my appearance that might hold me back. It's up to me to stay looking professional, and it's better to be safe than sorry.'' --Jennifer

''Casual Fridays mean a nice pair of dress pants or khakis with a white button-up shirt, or turtleneck sweater and a sharp pair of shoes.'' --Deanna

''I enjoy looking 'employed' when I dress for work: a nice pair of slacks, or denim skirt with a tasteful (not a Victoria's Secret-type) top; in the winter, a blouse with blazer. Revealing cleavage and tight, high-thigh skirts have no place at work.'' --Diana

''When I look in the mirror on Friday morning, the question I ask myself is, 'Could I meet a CEO today without being embarrassed about what I'm wearing?' '' --Jennifer

''You dress for the part you aspire to. If you aspire for the gardener's job, well ...'' --miret

''As a space planner, decorator and furniture buyer, I'm often crawling under desks, walking through construction sites and attending meetings with clients. The best dress for me is slacks, flats and a tailored shirt or T-shirt topped with a blazer. I'm physically comfortable enough to do my job yet feel emotionally comfortable enough to attend a meeting with a high-level executive.'' --Dawnie83

''Even on casual days, we should project a professional image. Casual dress shouldn't mean 'anything goes.' It means that we don't have to wear a dress suit.'' --Aimee

''It just means sandals without pantyhose in the summer.'' --Flynn535

''Our company gave out a nice blue polo with the company name and logo that coordinates great with jeans. The joke is that this outfit is our Friday 'uniform.' '' --Texto

''All shirts have to have sleeves. If you can wear it to the beach, it's not to be worn to the office.'' --unnamed member

''It may be a 'casual' Friday, but you are at work, not at high school!'' --Kalsij

Are you sure we killed them? Or is there just an "intelligence report" that says we did?

There was an article in Sports Illustrated, or maybe NY times mag, or maybe both, about Uday and what he did to the country's athletes. After reading the article, you likely would be very happy that he i dead. You might be happier, however, if he were alive, chained to a rock, having his innards picked out by buzzards.

edited to specify which of the sons tortured athletes
