I hope this board manages to stay put for a while. It really hasn't had a chance to gather any momentum. Assuming someone eventually arrives to talk about the PNW, I'm wondering if there's any inside information on the demise of the Hagen Dye firm. Why did DiLorenzo leave? Have the remaining lawyers split into several factions, or just two? How about Ater Wynne? I hear associates are looking to leave that firm as quickly as possible. Let's hear some dirt.

I heard that DiLorenzo had been looking to go to DWT for some time, and actually tried for a merger. Don't know which side nixed that idea. Don't know exactly how the remaining Hagen folks split, though I'm told there were divisions between the senior folks and the younger partners.

i agree - this place was a fairly sizable presence on the pdx & trx scene. asi remember, they only had like 8 associates, but id like to get some dirst also.

So far things are looking pretty bleak for the future of the PNW forum on this site. PNW associates are pussies. For about 6 weeks back in mid 2000 there was a lot of traffic on the old greedy board, and then people got whiny and disappeared. McBVR and Penske kept things interesting. There's a lot of crazy shit that goes down in Portland and Seattle, and it's worth talking about. Maybe GAs are too worried about getting canned. But, if GAs are getting canned, keeping quiet about it doesn't help anyone.

Is the Preston Gates and Luce Forward merger going to happen? I've been wondering about that one. Preston and Luce fill similar positions in the Seattle and San Diego markets. I don't think the offspring of these two dinosaurs will be strong enough to survive the ice age that seems to have arrived.
