But, I didn't think he was a very good writer. However, he did make you think. And I think he really loved what he did. I took issue with a whole helluva lot of things he said. But I respected him.

He was indeed very thought provoking, even though I disagreed with him most of the time. I did think, however, that his column was misplaced on Page 2, as when I think of Page 2 I think of the Sports Guy, goofy polls and cartoons and generally irreverent humor. Didn't really fit there.
