OK, here's the situation, my S.O. went away on a week's vacation.....
So I am the temporary COO of my castle and FYI, in my fair city every other Friday is paper and glass recycling day, i.e. the trashman picks up your paper and glass.
As a rule, fwiw, fyi, I do not put out paper recycling the night before because what if it rains, iykwim. Anyhoo, the last two days have been sunshine as far as the eye can see and the majestic eagle can fly, so, last night around 10 as I swilled my second glass of a pleasant sangiovese, watching the sunset over the mountains from deck, I made the executive decision that it was safe to put the recycling out that night. In advance. IYKWIM.
Wouldn't you know it, torrential downstorms hit around 1 AM last night.
Oh the humanity.
