I'll talk about any sport:

Soccer is hokey when decided by PKs
NFL is mildly hokey because both teams don't get a shot.
College is hokey because they start at the 25 and then have to go for two, but only after three overtimes.
Hockey now changes teh rules too.
Sebby's home run contest is even more cheesy.
Ah. You just want to bitch. If that's the case, there's nothing I can say to get you to stop.

I just don't see the need to resolve the few ties that exist through artificial systems in the regular season.
I think a tie every once in awhile is no big deal. But there's a reason why they say a tie game is like kissing your sister.

If you think the coinflip is essentially irrelevant, why do the players on the team celebrate like they've scored a touchdown when it comes up their call?
Ummm, because they're stupid?

Of course it seems like a huge advantage to get the ball first. But over the years, it has proven to not be such a huge advantage. If it was a huge advantage, it would have been changed by now.
