I have been catching up and have decided that I need to start postwhoring to at least K out before I retire. Given all the recent soccer discussion, I will be the dtb of FB soccer. Anne Elk has done admirably, but she missed this one. But I still want her.
Anyway, you can't "half-volley a ball in the air" in the context or receiving a long pass. Half-volleying a ball means that is has bounced once since it has been hit by the other player. Impressive, but in the discussion of amazing skill required in soccer, not really a feat as amazing as hitting a ball in the air off a long cross before it has touched anything.
Which I plan to do a lot of this weekend.
