This weekend, I saw:
Mystic River: Fantastic. The cast was magnificent, and the direction was very true to the book. Rent it. Maybe even buy it.
Big Fish: Wierd, yes, but a nice way to kill an hour and a half. Ewan McGregor gets better in everything I see him in.
Two Brothers: If you have a kid, and the kid loves animals, go see this movie now. The two tigers in it are amongst the most expressive creatures I've ever seen on film. Keanu should study them.
Monster: Good acting, but I didn't like the way the screenwritier couldn't decide whether to humanize or brutalize Aileen Wournos. Charlize's physical transformation was quite complete, but I didn't see how anyone could have called her performance Oscar caliber.
