Before we knew the sex, we referred to the baby as "the alien" or just "Squirt." Once we knew the sex, I picked a name of the right gender and ethnicity that I was certain we wouldn't use. My family was certain that, having established the habit, we would keep calling him that once he was born, but it didn't fit him and was quickly dropped.
Let me know if you need help coming up with outlandish and completely unsuitable ethnic names.
