Gobs

This probably doesn't belong on this board, but it's a grammar thing rather than a political thing - there was this article in the WSJ yesterday about Democrat fund-raising and at one point, it said that Kerry had raised "gobs" of money. Is "gobs" acceptable terminology now in the WSJ? What is next? Bush takes aim at Kerry's gobs and raises a "whole whack of dough"? I didn't think I was reading the Post.

I've since recycled the paper so can't quote directly from the article for you, but trust me, "gobs" was there in black and white and it has stayed with me from yesterday until now and I just can't keep it in me any longer.
