Geese bite. Hard.
When I was about 7 or 8, I was at the local duck pond with my little brother feeding ducks when a goose took offense at something I did (no idea what it was). It grabbed onto my upper thigh and wouldn't let go. My reflexive action was to grab it by it's long neck and fling it into the water. It appeared to be unharmed by the incident, but I had a big purple welt for a week or two after that.
Despite this, I don't hate geese. I don't trust them, and try to avoid being in close proximity to one, but I don't hate them.
