I like how the responses have been framed too. Directly, Bush said he hasn't seen the ads, but he'd like to see work done on these type of soft money groups. I don't even remember which side is for the ban, but the evenhanded tone of his remark was that hey, what's good for the goose is good for the gander, right Democrats?

The complaint about Michael Moore's movie was that he said a lot of things that were true and left viewers to infer connections between them that were unstated because they weren't true, or couldn't be supported. There were relatively few complaints that the specific allegations made in the movie were untrue.*
The complaint about the Swift Vets is that they are exploiting the media's efforts at even-handedness by airing
lies. So, no -- they are different species, not goose and gander.
*(I know they're out there, and I know he responded, and I haven't and don't want to see the movie so I'm not going to argue about that detail -- my point is about the preponderance of the complaints about Moore.)

Indirectly, Fox News commentators were saying where was Kerry for the Moveon ads?

Kerry condemned the Moveon ads, which only reminds us all that FOX is not working very hard to maintain that pretense of neutrality.
BTW, I don't recall that anyone found anything inaccurate in the Moveon ads.
