Although I suspect a lame sock, I will respond (albeit from the safety of the anon FBA log in), because I can actually provide some helpful advice here. Are they painful? Yes! At first anyway. But isn't that kind of the point? Anyway, the more you use them, the more you get used to them. And let me tell you, I recommend staying with the Chocotini foreplay for at least the first half-dozen times. But after that, you'll find the alcohol just takes away from the overall pleasure. But, be careful - they're addictive! These days, I can hardly get off without them. Not that that is necessarily a bad thing! Ha! Good luck, and let us know how it goes!
