Price range? Style? Room in the house you're looking to decorate? Look around, and see what you like first, before settling on one particular store.
If you see something you like, check and see if
Design within Reach has it cheaper. Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware actually have some well made furniture, though the problem is that everyone else has it too. Check out Crate & Barrel too. One or two items isn't going to make your house look like everyone else's.
