Caught part of the convention on the radio.
1. McCain gave a good speech, though clearly he was playing the statesman, with an understated but solid endorsement for the W. It sounded like the crowd was urging McCain to go somewhere that he really didn't want to go (e.g., the red meat condemnations of Dems.) Did it come across that way on TV as well?
2. Wasn't sure what to make of the 3 widows/survivors of Sept. 11. They weren't political statements, but then again why did they get prime time convention slots if they weren't implicitly so?
3. Only heard the first part of Rudy's speech. He had some good lines, though it sounded like he was auditioning during Open Mike Night. My guess is, odds are he'll be invited back.
