For any person of moderate intelligence, we have a border-free world. Most of our big-city governments actively interfere with the enforcement of immigration laws. Our rural ag economies are built on illegal labor. Hell, some speak of the "justice" of allowing illegal immigrants to vote. I don't think we can walk away, because they're only a bus ride away from our front door.
