Ty, what were you saying about Fallujah? Should we be:

1.) Leveling the town;
2.) Conducting precision strikes;
3.) Nothing; or
4.) Something else.

Personally, I think the answer is 4. The Marines should be instructed to go in heavy, provided that no political second-guessing will be made by the administration before the job is done. Granted, I was in favor of the creation of the Brigade at first, at least insofar as the commanders on the ground appeared to be in favor of it too. Now, it doesn't look like there are many alternatives left (again) to the use of heavy force.

I'd go in and go in heavy, but with orders to take every reasonable effort to minimize civilian casualties. We're there, so the only reasonable thing is to do the job right.
