Oh no. Not from her. From one of her friends. And I asked her friend first. And it wasn't "she wants this particular stone from you." It was "she has never really liked diamond rings."
I've never been pressured to get engaged or married. Or buy an expensive ring. I can honestly say that she would be happy with whatever I gave her, although I'm sure there are plenty of women on this board who will probably disagree with me.
