A great bar band, no doubt. See Nick Hornsby's collection of essays on music (I forget the title; something like "songs"). But Hall of Fame worthy? Questionable at best.
Puting aside arguments as to whether there should even be a R'n'R hall of fame:
U2's a no-brainer, though I'm not a big fan. Same for Grandmaster Flash. Skynyrd probably should make it, especially if they can get the Drive-By Truckers to do the intro. Sex Pistols: duh. And could be entertaining if they choose to show up.
Oh, and in response to a prior post by GWNC: no, haven't seen the new Ramones documentary, which hasn't made it to my relatively small town. Sounds amazing, if perhaps a bit depressing.
