So Anyway

The problem with hinting is that some men really are clueless. I don't like the idea of shopping together or me going and saying "Buy that one" . But somehow my repeated hints about me 1. not liking or ever wearing yellow gold; 2. window shopping comments "I love that princess cut solitaire" and 3. "I really like my friends set... and mentioning how it was great that her SO thought about the set rather than just the engagement ring separately, resulted in me receiving a surprise yellow gold emerald cut with side stones. At the very least he could have asked my sister what I would like, but he said he didn't trust her to keep the secret.

Don't get me wrong... what he picked out is very "me" and I love it. It's jut not what I would have picked. And it didn't really match the rest of my jewelry (which, mainly just involved a new watch and switching the silver studs for gold ones). I just recently got my e-ring back after over 2 months without it due to a custom wedding band fiasco that almost required an entirely new setting due to the damage the jackass caused.
