For some reason this reminds me of a post-mommyhood change in dating dynamics. I noticed that I am approached more by men who are considerably older and don’t take care of themselves at all (translation: sometimes fat and hideous!) and when they see me with a kid they seem to think they have a better shot at hooking up (yeahhhhhh baby!) and get a little bitter when I decline. I don’t mean to be cruel but becoming a Mom has meant I’ve changed my priorities but I haven’t lowered my standards or become desperate or anything. Who knows. Vietmom
