I've seen that. And I think it's sad. If you have so little to talk about that you have to read while you're out of the house, then maybe something is wrong with the relationship. I mean, I've done it at Starbucks while drinking a latte, but if you're going to go through the trouble of getting dressed and going out of the house for a meal, and all you can do is sit and read or sit and watch a movie, then just stay at home. Isn't the whole point of getting out of the house to socialize? I mean, at least part of it?
