Its about passion, not the locale.
I saw two Detroit business looking guys trying to pick a fight with a Laker fan in the Executive club at the Palace during the finals. On the other hand, when the Tigers were good I remember vocal fans for the other team getting some serious shit at Tiger stadium. When the Tigers were good if you came into Tiger stadium wearing a Yankee's or Sox jersey, you would at least get drenched in beer. Right now a Yankee fan could probably go into Tiger Stadium and throw balls at OUR players and no one would care.
