Finally, an actual fashion post.
This year, I went with brown as a "neutral" because I'm downright sick of black and, since I am a blonde, grey washes me out. I spent a little too much on the perfect brown suede skirt, a brown sweater with rhinestone buttons and a little fur collar, a lighter brown mini skirt and a jacket that plays of the lighter brown with butter soft leather trim. I mixed in a little pink, fuscia, cream and pale mint green. I found the perfect silk satin blouse so I bought two of them in soft colors. A girl can never have too many beautiful bags and scarves and I typically spend more on accessories than I do on clothes. And a couple of those indestructible St. John's suits are a must for going to court and taking "depositions".
The most important thing about clothes is buying what fits well and then spending the money on alterations so that things fit perfectly. I am a huge fan of anything that hugs curves without being too tight or showing too much skin. If anybody knows where to get the perfect cashmere sweater dress, I'd love to have one.
