***But really, aren't these posting devices the sort of thing that endears the Lawtalkers Law Talk Forums General Discussion Fashion Tips threads to all of us? It is true that you could probably write a macro that could generate most FB posts these days: (If "ironic" appears in post, insert parenthetical ("Hi PLF!"); If (Hi [poster]!) appears in post, generate response from [poster] that says "Hi!; If female poster complains about physical attribute or unpleasant conduct of former significant other/lover, generate post from random male poster pretending that he is that former significant other/lover and apologizing for or being defensive about physical attribute/unpleasant conduct.) But it is this repetitive and highly self-referential language and these repetitive and highly self-referential posting devices that make the FB so familiar and warm and comforting to us. It is a vast, confusing, cold, and often spiritually empty internet out there. Is it so wrong to want to have one tiny little corner of the world wide web where we can log on at any time of day or night, write the words "That's so hot!", and know that will not only be accepted but also appreciated?
I have decided. I will be disrobing before my meeting.
