I've seen the many columns. Sportswriters have to fill column inches and it's easy to pick on the BCS. I have nothing against Cal. They were a one-loss team from the Pac 10, losing only to what is arguably the best team in the country. Texas is a one-loss team from the Big XII (the Big XII South is undeniably the toughest division in college football this year), losing only to what is arguably the best team in the country. One of the teams was going to get screwed, and this year it was Cal.
And you may call Mack Brown whiney, but I didn't here him whining like Cal in the years he was in the top five and went to the Holiday Bowl (I believe this happened to him twice). You think Mack's plea influenced any sportswriters? Since when do any sportswriters listen to a word out of Mack Brown's mouth?
Someone always gets "screwed" by the BCS. The only reason Cal feels like they're getting screwed particularly is because this is their first time in forever in the top 5. Everyone else is used to it.
Enjoy the ass-fucking.
