To all you assholes who'll talk and talk about how you can't get out of a trap, here is wisdom. Swing exceptionally hard and smash downward into the sand about an inch to two inches behind the ball. There is no easier shot in golf, so learn this simple fucking swing and stop telling me your fucking trap stories.

Two inches? Do you know how much two inches is?
Never mind, of course you do - you see it every day.
But two inches is too much, unless you've severly short-sided yourself and have very little green to work with and NEED to get up and down. Even then, you're likely to stay in the bunker. One-half inch (carry the ball a long way) to one and one-half inches is about the range.
