Speaking of popularity, I just finished the book "Pledged" which is supposedly the "inside scoop" about sororities. Do we really need a book to tell us that bulemia, drugs and promiscuous sex are rampant in sororities? I did enjoy the parts about latent lesbianism though.
I'm reading it now. Not a lot of revelations. Mr Man glanced at a few pages and was horrified (something along the lines of would you ever allow your daughter to pledge a sorority knowing this stuff; which is all incredibly hypothetical, in light of the fact the neither of us has or plans to have a daughter, but I digress; for the record, my hypothetical response would be sure, but that could change I guess if I ever actually had a daughter). It seems that some things have been updated in the decade plus since I was in college (mainly the advent of IM), but generally it is just as I remembered sororities being at my school.
