As an update, the fancy, overpriced wine opener I bought (for my gf, if you must know) was well-received. She loves it and has increased her drinking because of it. Woo hoo!
And let me just add that it is much easier to use than any other wine opener I have come across. Fun, too. Besides the price, its only drawback is its size.
