Sadly, I concur; hence the subject line.
My objection to this particular word is that it's just lazy. I don't have a quarrel with the "living language" and shit -- but this is just unadulterated intellectual sloth. The “new” words that pop up to identify new things (e.g., telephone, internet, fax, yadda yadda yadda), or slang or shorthand that worms its way in (e.g., yadda yadda yadda) don't provoke me at all, but “incent”? No. I stand firm. Won't you join me?
