I am a lifetime black boot freak so I have been collecting for some time now. these boot newbers should be moving on shortly .

Black boots are one of the most useful items in a shoe closet. (Autumn through spring, at least.) I've got 2 pairs I wear all the freaking time - mid calf, non-spikey 3-inch heeled slightly squared pointy toed black ones which I wear with trousers and some longer skirts, and a knee-high pointy-toed mid-heeled pair I wear with skirts. I should really buy at least one more mid-calf, maybe slightly more mid-heel pair, so I can trade off my current pair more frequently and make my current pair last longer ("it's really a money saving purchase, honey, honest!").
In addition to those two, I have:
- Dan Posts (20+ years old, great for snow & slush, hiking, mucking about, etc., and fuck all y'all, they're stylish when I wear them because they are real working boots not bullshit fashion western boots)
low-heeled thigh-high boots (great for ... deep snow)
4 inch heeled fuck-me knee highs (great for not having to walk very far)
lace-up ankle boots (the '80s are back, right?)
10-eyelet Docs (15+ years old, excellent nasty weather boots).
I've got about as many brown boots. Boots rock.
BR(then again, I counted how many pairs of shoes and boots I had not long ago and I stopped at 140 out of sheer embarassment)C
