For $299, I got a 20 GB hard drive, which is enough to hold most of my stolen music collection (you pay $200 more for the same drive in an iPod). It has a rechargeable battery, which holds juice for 12-14 hrs per charge. Took it to the gym and absolutely love the thing. No more having to move songs back and forth from the laptop to the player (and since I am lazy, that usually means I am stuck bouncing on the elliptical to the same songs for six month). Anyway, just thought I would pass along the recommendation for anyone who likes working out to their MP3 collection.

I've been thinking about getting a Nomad or an iPod and would appreciate being steered in one direction or the other.
BTW, $499 gets you a 30MB drive from Apple, but $299 there will only get you 10MB, not 20MB.
