Hotel Rwanda was really good, though it was difficult to watch. The Aviator was better than I thought it would be, and I ended up liking a good deal. I've heard really good things about the Sea Inside, and I think I'm going to try and catch it before the Oscars. Also, Finding Neverland is still playing there (as of Tuesday night when I went to see Hotel Rwanda), and I've heard good things. The reviews of Bad Education haven't been overwhelming. Oh, yeah, and Million Dollar Baby is still there. That's another one that I have to see before the Oscars. I keep hearing about a twist at the end, but so far I'm still unspoiled.
Speaking of Oscars, it sounds like the River Oaks theater is going to do their annual Oscar party again this year. Usually it's hosted by the Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, and it's a lot of fun. They project the awards on the big screen, serve food from Bira Porreti's next door, have a cash bar, and everyone dresses up for the big event. During the commercials they have trivia contests (which is how I got my 13 inch John Holmes ruler last year) and costume contests.
