In an unrelated observation, when I ponder the concepts of the European street or the arab street or international law or opinion or the UN or France (other than when I am drinking Dom or Petrus) i am reminded of George Washington's cautionary warning,
"Against the insidious wiles of foreign influence, the jealousy of a free people ought to be constantly awake; since history and experience prove that foreign influence is one of the most baneful foes of Republican Government."
