Speaking of this, I recently watched the new DVD release of the 1960's Antonioni film
Blow Up. I thought something was different, so I read some on-line commentary.
For some unknown reason, the DVD drops the scene in the beginning where the main character won't throw the "tennis ball" back to the mimes. As there is a parallel scene at the end, when he does throw the ball back, this edit makes no sense.
Can someone here drop some acid and perhaps elighten me as to why a studio would cut a necessary film scene from a film re-release?
