I'll assume someone like you who portrays himself as a man about town has eaten it, so here's my reply:
Yes, people act absurd. But they also have some pretty good insights about things as well. You can't take the most absurd behavior you've seen and use that as a basis to assume all behavior on that particular drug is ludicrous idiocy.

I once tried to climb up the side of my apartment. I thought it would freak people out to knock on my second story window. I fell and opened a decent sized gash over one eye. Other than that, everything's been cool. Oh, and I chipped a tooth trying to pull a nail out of a board with my teeth.
