HBO night
edited by Not Bob to add spoiler space for SATC/Project Greenlight
SATC--Thought it was a pretty good episode overall, considering all the anticipation. I couldn't wait for 9 PM, so I watched the East Coast feed at 6. The lawyer is growing on me. Call me sappy, but I thought the whole, "we can adopt" thing was very sweet, especially in light of Bunny's (and by proxy, Tre's) "we don't want no stinkin Chinese babies in the MacDougal family" attitude. Plus, whenever he says she's a shiksa (sp?--sorry not Jewish) goddess, it just seems so believable. Or it could be that I just like gruff guys with no/little hair (another reason why Aidan was such a wanker). All I can say about the stockbroker was wowzer... too bad he was a subbie. I don't think the wedding will be Carrie's (and if it is, it BETTER be to Big)--I agree, it's too sunshiny.
Greenlight--didn't watch first season, but Damon is hot enough to balance out how annoying and dopey I find Affleck, so I tuned in. Was very glad they didn't pick the arrogant writer ("you have to read my work 4 times to understand it") or the psycho stalker driector girl. Was surprised by the director choice since the other two guys seemed really talented. It will be interesting to see if the movie is any good since everyone seemed to wax poetic about the Shaker Heights script.
Had a firm picnic over the weekend, which only made me more nervous for the bar. I know I am whining... :violin:
For the record, I am five four.
