Also saw Modern English open up for UB40 on the Pier. UB40 played for about 45 minutes. I was so totally disappointed.

I saw UB40 in a gymnasium at SUNY Geneseo or Oswego or one of those little SUNY schools (can't keep them straight), and really enjoyed it. Also saw Violent Femmes at one of those places. Back when slam dancing was soooo fun!!! No women were picked up and carried overhead, as is the rage today (add groping).
