I've always wondered why it is that Jack Ryan could never be portrayed by one character - Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, Ben Affleck. I actually think that Baldwin was the right guy. Youngish and smart. Ford seemed too old for the role and just didn't seem to be the right fit - although his two appearances would seemingly outdo Baldwin's single appearance.
