Did anyone see the SNL skit where they had "Matt Lauer" (done pretty well by one of the newish guys) interviewing Madonna? He asks her if she has any regrets, and she says (of course), "No" (the chick playing Madonna is really good, come to think of it). The following conversation ensues:
Matt: Really? What about Shanghai Surprise?
Madonna: I never saw it.
[other bad movies -- other Madonna justifications]
Matt: What about Swept Away?
Madonna (with an eye-roll and head-toss and peevish sigh): That was a movie that wasn't
supposed to be good... And if people just don't understand that, well... [loud sniff and eye roll].
I cannot think of anything she's appeared in that wasn't puke-all-over-yourself awful. (Not that I have seen the entire Madonna canon -- in no small part because of the aforementioned emetic effects.)
